Library for a New Age. iDesign Café worked with Delaware AV and New Castle County to create a custom kiosk and wayfinding software for the Route 9 Library and Innovation Center.
The 41,000sf library is a $31 million project that will include a Scriptorium, Sensory room, Lego room, STEM lab, 3-D printer Maker lab, Theater, and Bookatarium, ideas borrowed from some of the leading libraries around the world.
It will be a catalyst for change and the centerpiece of a broader effort to revitalize a struggling corridor in Wilmington, giving people access to all levels of art and literature and technology.
The library and innovation center was opened in September 2017 and was voted one of the most impressive new libraries in Sept, 2018 by American Libraries Magazine.
